What is the Blue42?
Miocean is a foundation of business executives who are reducing urban run-off pollution of our 42 mile Orange County shoreline (The Blue42) through visible, measurable, “end-of-pipe” projects and upstream education & prevention programs. We co-fund these efforts with local agency partners and direct 100% of all donations to our work by paying for all administrative costs ourselves.
Each year, we gather to support Miocean’s efforts at our annual Blue42 celebration. Last year, hundreds attended and contributed to this amazing event. This year’s event, which is outdoors on the lawn of the St. Regis Hotel, Monarch Beach, promises to be even more exciting, with live and silent auction items, and entertainment by the popular hit band, The English Beat. This will be a rewarding and enjoyable evening under the stars and all for our very own ocean.
We do this because we love our ocean and want it to remain a source for the well-being of all – for our personal health; our families’ enjoyment; and our communities’ vitality.
