Who Are We?
As one of the fastest growing Austin charities, Helping Austin is a local non-profit organization chartered to raise funds for and help improve the lives of youth in our community. We volunteer our time and raise money for other non-profits that focus on improving the lives of at-risk children and youth-centric charities. Our goal is to provide alternative fundraising channels for these organizations and reduce their dependence on government aid programs. Since 2004, Helping Austin has raised over $110,000 and donated most of our proceeds to our partner, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Texas.
On August 14, 2010, Helping Austin will host The Ice Ball benefiting Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Texas. Tickets will go on sale in May 2010!
Why We Raise Money?
We believe in improving the lives of at-risk children and offering them channels to grow and excel. We see ourselves as positive role models who are building and creating a stronger community. The money raised provides local youths with invaluable opportunities that might otherwise not be available. These opportunities introduce Austin youngsters with new experiences that help shape and strengthen their character.
Background on Helping Austin
