PS 334, The Anderson School is a public school in NYC that serves the unique needs of intellectually gifted children from all five boroughs. It is a spectacular public school success story. Over the last 23 years it has grown and flourished because of the dedication and talent of its teachers and administration, as well as a highly-involved parent body. Anderson opened its doors in 1986 and has grown into a K-8 school, educating over 550 children each year.
Anderson’s success is due in large part to the huge support of our community, both local and beyond. Local politicians and businesses around the country have helped us offer the enrichments so necessary to educate our students, and for that we are sincerely grateful. Please support our school!
This year’s Spring Auction, our largest annual fundraiser, will be held on Saturday, April 9th, 2011. Won’t you support public education by making a tax-deductible donation of goods or services to our auction? 100% of the proceeds from our auction go directly back into the classroom to fund educational services not provided by public school funds (including assistant teachers in every classroom, foreign language, chess, computer and science equipment and more). Your donations will help our students – and your business, too.
We thank each and every donor in our weekly newsletters, which reach over 550 families, and our auction catalog, which lists all donors and is distributed to over 700 Anderson families and auction guests. In addition, our internet auction attracts hundreds of bidders within and beyond our community. And of course it’s all tax deductible! The auction is sponsored by The Parents of PS334, Inc., a parentrun non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that raises funds to support PS 334, The Anderson School.
