whale-rock-1April 24, New York, NY: On a beautiful cool spring evening, guests entered #5 Times Square, the Ernst & Young building in the heart of Times Square (the building with the annual ball drop) ascended by elevator to a beautiful reception, the annual fund-raiser for the Osteogenesis Imperfecta Foundation.

With the sparkling lights of Broadway below guests gathered to enjoy cocktails, hors d’oeuvres prior to heading down to see Billy Elliott, The Musical. The highlight of the pre-theater gathering, a live auction conducted by Ms. Robin Wright of Sotheby’s Auction House presenting a East Hampton Vacation Rental Residence graciously provided by Eisner Design and VacationHomesforCharity.org (the philanthropy of The Society).

Bidding was spirited with the winning bidder, a guest from Los Angeles who desired to try out the beaches of the Atlantic. Also in attendance was The Society’s own Nancy Progar, coordinator for VacationHomesforCharity.com. Nancy literally went from LaGuardia Airport to the event.

“The event was a major success” according to Nancy Progar adding “to be honest, the Yankee Tickets were a hot item, however, the East Hampton home captured the attendee’s attention as a truly unique auction item.”

Events such as the Osteogenesis Inperfecta Foundation have benefited with their affiliation with VacationHomes forChairity.org. During this period of economic contraction and uncertainty, charities and non-profits must be most creative concerning fund-raising opportunities. The fund-raising methods of years past must be updated to attract donors and new supporters. The unique offering of a vacation home rental is guaranteed to attract increased attention and awareness to your charity benefit or fund-raising opportunity.
